Granny's German Tea Cakes
My Granny's Tea Cake cookie recipe has been around much longer than I have. It originally came from my great-great-grandmother. She was a traditional German home baker and served these cookies with tea, though without the icing. However nowadays we like to cut them into fun shapes and top these deliciously soft cookies with royal icing. They're fantastic for dunking in tea or coffee, or just by themselves! I also offer a gluten free version of these cookies that are just as sweet and fluffy as the originals.
Sugar Cookies
Simple sugar cookies that are sweet and not too soft. They'll be great for any party or event and I can flavor and decorate them any way you like. I also offer a gluten free sugar cookie recipe!
Gluten Free!
One of my best friends is gluten intolerant, so I've been testing out different recipes for gluten free baked goods, and I think I've found some great ones. I would like to warn however, that while my gluten free cookies are made in the same place as the cookies containing gluten, I never make the two at the same time or with uncleaned tools.
Royal Icing
I've been working on getting the perfect consistency for my sugary royal icing, in hopes that it won't dry on your cookies to a rock solid, difficult-to-bite-into state. I've found a great recipe that works well for me, because it's no fun having gorgeously decorated cookies if they're going to break your teeth!
